Vermont’s Dual Enrollment program offers Vermont school that is high and seniors the opportunity to earn as much as six college credits at CCV. Which means your credits allow you to finish senior school and start college, all during the time that is same!

Introduction to College & Careers

CCV offers a free of charge, non-credit Introduction to College & Careers (ICC) course for high school students each semester. ICC prepares you for college by helping you set goals, problem-solve, manage time and stress, improve communication skills, take better notes, reduce test anxiety, and plan financially. To sign up in this class as a unique CCV student, apply on the internet and select a specific course section that is ICC. The abilities assessment is not required, since it will be completed during the class.

Fast Forward Program for Technical Center Students

The Fast Forward program helps students in technical center programs earn college credit them to enroll in college degree programs while they are still in high school and prepares. Students earn credit toward their technical center program and college credit at the same time. The courses are taught in the tech center, and students must meet enrollment requirements for specific courses.

The credits earned during these courses are accepted by CCV toward degree requirements in program areas like Allied Health, Business, Early Childhood Education, graphical design, and i . t.

In order to become a quick Forward Student:

• Make an application for admission.
• When you yourself have not already completed the abilities assessment, contact your tech center counselor to take it at the earliest opportunity.
• Speak to your tech center counselor to join up for a Fast Forward course.

If you should be a rising Vermont high school senior, CCV’s Early College program enables you to spend your entire senior year at CCV earning college credits, finishing your high school diploma, and having a hop on your college degree, tuition free! (Students are responsible for all textbook costs and applicable fees.) Students in the program enroll full-time at some of CCV’s 12 centers that are academic.

Here’s how to connect with the Early College program:

• If you have never attended CCV, apply for admission first. You do not need to complete this task if you should be a present CCV dual enrollment student. Unsure? Contact Kim Barbour (kim.barbour@ccv.edu, 802-888-1383).
• Complete CCV’s free Accuplacer assessment at your nearest CCV location.
• Gather and send the following application materials to Kim Barbour, Admissions Specialist, CCV-Morrisville, 197 Harrel Street, Suite 2, Morrisville, VT 05661 because of the following deadlines: Priority – June 1; Final – August 1
  • the Early College Application Packet,
  • the Early College Assurance Form (a part of your application packet) signed by the school that is high principal
  • A letter of reference from a educational school counselor or teacher relating to your readiness for full-time college coursework,
  • unopened official copies of all of the senior school transcripts, and
  • an essay with the following prompt: going into the Early College program at CCV involves withdrawing from your twelfth grade and taking a full-time schedule of college courses. In an essay of no more than two pages, explain the method that you are known by you are ready with this challenge and just how you intend to be successful if accepted in to the program.

Immediately after your completed application is received, you shall be contacted with regards to your status during the early College program. If accepted, you’ll then work with your school counselor and CCV advisor to enroll full-time in college courses.
